WORKING HOURS: The FRRO Mumbai office is open from Monday to Friday between 09.30 am to 01.00 pm for processing of all cases such as registration, extension etc. and on every 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday’s till
12.00 pm. However, it is closed on Public holidays.

Registration Form For Foreign National Staying on Rent/Lease/Paying Guest:

The Foreigners (Report to Police) order 1971 made by the Central Government in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Foreigners Act, 1946. As per this order every householder of other persons should report to the officer-in-charge of the nearest Police station about the arrival or presence of his household or in any premises occupied by him or under his control of any foreigner. Any person contravening this order shall be punishable under Section 188 of I.P.C.
Note-This is Not in Lieu of the Registration of Foreigners, As
required by the Registration of Foreigners Act 1939.
On 01/08/2010, Foreign Exchange Counter has been opened by State Bank of
India in the premises of F.R.R.O., Mumbai office. Visitors of this office
can avail its facility.
The foreign national being sponsored for an Employment Visa in any sector
should draw a salary in excess of US$ 25000 per annum. However, this
condition of annual floor limit on income will not be apply to:
(a) Ethnic cooks,
(b) Language teachers (other than English language
teachers)/ translator and
(c) Staff working for the concerned Embassy/High
Commission in India.
The Applications of Employment visa
( Extension and Registration ) will not be processed/ accepted by this
office, in which the minimum annual income benchmark of US$ 25000 is not
met .
Special Instruction for O.C.I, Card holders:
As per the visa rules of Government of
India it is obligatory on the OCI card holders to carry OCI Registration
Booklet along with the "U"Visa (Life Long Visa Sticker) for
immigration clearance in India. Without the "U"visa sticker they
would be treated as without visa.
If the passport on which "U"visa is
pasted is expired, and the "U"visa is not transferred/pasted on
the new passport then the O.C.I. card holder must carry his old passport
along with him.
