In the year 2004 there were 4628 youth offenders arrested in substantive cases 
However the target group for the project is first Offenders

Bharat Petroleum Corporation joins the project and agrees to fund training of youth identified under the scheme and being imparted with professional skills. BPCL places Rs. One lakh at the disposal of Mumbai police for the above purpose for the year 2005.

 
     
 

In the Youth Offenders Rehabilitation Project total 17 youth offenders were completed their professional training in Yuva Parivartan, Kherwadi (NGO).

 
     
 

Till date Bharat Petroleum Corporation paid Rs. 18,185/- for the training of youth offenders.

 
     
 

Forty first time offenders identified by local police stations and being imparted with training  skills e.g. motor mechanic, computer, typing , electricians work etc.
