ARMED POLICE
Local Armed (LA) Police units are located at the following places

	LA-I/RCP : Naigaon, Mumbai-14
	LA-II        : Tardeo/Worli, Mumbai-18
	LA-III       : Worli Police Camp, Mumbai-25
	LA-IV       : Marol Police Camp, Mumbai-59

Mumbai City Police, under the supervision of Addl. C.P. (AP), has four LA divisions headed by 4 DCPs designated as :

DCP LA-I,
DCP LA-II,
DCP LA-III
DCP LA-IV 

DCP offices are located at their respective HQs except LA-II whose office is located at Tardeo.

TRAINING IMPARTED AT LA-I HQs

	Probationary officers’ training : one month
	Refresher courses : fortnight for unarmed men
	Revolver course : one week for fresh officers & men
	3 days revision course : for officers and men
	All weapons training including : 15th days automatic and semi automatic weapons
	Police Constable recruitment training: includes P.T. Drill, Squad Drill
	Weapon drill and lathi drill
	Use of gas shells/grenades training: for armed men

RIOT CONTROL POLICE

	Riot Control Police ( RCP ) has been formed to counter sudden riotous situation, by a team of specially trained Police officers and men. This specialized force would be capable of handling and dealing with a riotous situation in an expert way, which is an asset to the Mumbai Police
	RCP is consisting of young, tough and trained officers and men capable of working in adverse situations. They have been trained in mob dispersal tactics and provided with suitable equipments for their operations. They have also been trained in First-Aid
	In order to provide a suitable counter - action to any insurgency, one platoon from each company of RCP is imparted training in Anti-insurgency tactics and they have been developed as "Quick Reaction Teams" (QRT)
	Training in Fire-fighting and Rescue operation. The three RCP companies are named as "Alfa", " Bravo" and "Charlie"
	Two companies during day and one in the night are always available at Naigaom Police Headquarters
	They have done commendable bandobasts duties during 9 / 11th Sept., World Trade Center attack and during important festival bandobasts in Mumbai city

POLICE REGION Incharge of all Police hospital and mobile hospital. Providing medi-care facilities to the ailing policemen. WIRLESS Responsible for providing and maintaining the wireless communication grid of the Mumbai archive round the clock. DCP - H-Q-1 Monitoring the performance of Hotel, Theatre, Arms and Ammunition Branches and functioning of Desks. Monitoring the Citizens Facilitation center and info line DCP - CH-Q-2 DCP - H-Q-2 Transferring, recruitment and solving the grievances of all Policemen. Monitoring the various Welfare activities of Police DCP (MT) In charge of entire vehicular fleet of Mumbai Police responsible for keeping all vehicles in roadworthy conditions. Providing the pilot, escort and other vehicles during the visit of VIP's in Mumbai. Next
